In this video, I take the viewer through four very different daily commutes, all leading to Friends Select. I feature John’s Patco train ride from Haddonfield (NJ), Rachel’s short walk from Logan Circle, Kristi’s two-part subway and bus commutes from Rhawnhurst (a neighborhood in the Northeast), and Isaac’s far car ride from Bridgeton (NJ), I asked each person to take a 15-20 second clip of their average ride to school every morning, not altered in any way. Then, I compiled the clips in Adobe Premiere, adding a background music track (Heartless – Kanye West) that I felt suited the fast-paced nature of the video. The overarching goal is to illustrate how no matter where all of Friends Select’s students may begin their morning, they all come together to the same place, eager to learn.
