Lucy Kelley ‘22: Leader of SCECE for 2021-22 School Year

As the founders of SCECE, we are incredibly excited to announce that Lucy Kelley ‘22 will be replacing us as the leader of SCECE for the 2020-21 school year. Throughout the year, Lucy has shown outstanding initiative and passion for education and cultural awareness. She has expressed a desire to continue SCECE’ focus on our Teacher Talk series introduced this year, as well as to make SCECE a resource to other clubs looking to host more assemblies. As for full year themes, Lucy hopes to expand the exploration of HIV/AIDS activism which we had hoped to cover this spring. Due to the transition to iSelect Learning, we all felt that making HIV/AIDS activism next year’s main topic would result in much more engaging events and discussions.

Sophia and I couldn’t be more excited to pass the torch (or goose, I suppose) to such a passionate learner. If you have input about what you’d like to see from SCECE next year, please fill out the survey we sent out here: Spring 2020 Survey. If you are interested in getting involved with SCECE next year and having a say in SCECE planning, reach out to Lucy Kelley.
