BREAKING: New Schedule Released for Week of April 13th
In an email sent to the student body on Wednesday afternoon, Upper School Director Chris Singler announced major changes to the Upper School’s iSelectLearning schedule starting on Monday, April 13th.
According to Chris’ email, classes will now meet synchronously on a five-day schedule rather than on a cyclical schedule. This ensures that all classes will meet at least twice a week in a typical five-day week. The FSS Upper School traditionally operates on a six-day cycle, but due to the shift to online learning and a transition to a five-day cycle in the middle school, the school administration preferred the “week-to-week” consistency of this new schedule.
During the advisory block on Thursday (April 9th), students will fill out a short form to help organize individual timetables.
The updated synchronous schedule also allows for other important community spaces like class meetings and clubs. This schedule will remain in effect until a possible return to the school building later this year.
At the end of his email, Chris also noted that the school is “reviewing how we (they) will grade during the 4th quarter.”
