BREAKING: Graduation Update
Graduation has been tentatively rescheduled for July 25th, according to an email Upper School Director Chris Singler sent to the senior class on Monday. The school administration currently expects to hold the rescheduled ceremony in the Race Street Meetinghouse, with a postponement date of August 8th. A traditional end-of-school-year graduation ceremony, originally scheduled for June 6th, had previously been postponed indefinitely due to the Coronavirus pandemic. There is also a smaller virtual ceremony planned for June 6th, which is being organized by a small committee of senior students and teachers.
This new date for graduation is dependent upon the state’s allowance of large public gatherings, which may or may not be granted by late July. “We will be closely following all advice and guidelines from the health department, CDC, and the state (Pennsylvania),” said Chris.
