Editorial Cartoon: Juggling
This illustration examines the high school student experience, specifically seniors who are juggling schoolwork, sports, other extra-curricular activities, and social lives all while preparing for college. The illustration is supposed to show the emotional stress that weighs on some of the students. We stack up these activities in a short period of time in addition to the college process and sometimes we burn out. We put in all this time and effort to get into college, and though it is a relief to get in, it was still an emotional challenge. In the illustration, I show a student literally juggling all of their activities, and feeling the emotional effects. They do succeed and get into college, but was it worth the stress?
