There are a couple of study spots in school, but some are more popular than others. A Google form was sent out to all upper school students asking what spot in school is their favorite to study in.
Supported by Google Forms results, the most popular study spot in school is the Library. The Library has many seating spots and areas, such as a couch and lounge chairs. The library also has many tables and chairs and is a great environment to study in, with almost silent space and a large size. “I prefer the library because of its comfortable seating and accessible outlets,” said Khalea Robinson ‘25.

The 2nd most popular study spot in school was the hallway. The hallway doesn’t provide many seating spots, but it is where students typically sit on the floor or a bench and study. The hallway is very communal, so many students prefer to study in the hall with their friends or even meet with teachers. This is a very large open space allowing students to gather.

The third most popular study spot in school was voted to be the falcon’s nest. The falcon’s nest provides students with chairs and benches with tables. This is a fairly good study spot, with it being pretty quiet down in the basement while being spacious. This spot does crossover with lower school PE, causing many young kids to be running around screaming at times.
The fourth most popular study spot in school is the alcove. The alcove is fairly small, so only so many people can fit in there at once. The alcove provides couches and tables with nice windows, creating an effective study environment.

Friends Select has many study spots, but the student’s favorite is the library; it is quiet and comfortable, which is ideal for studying.
