In an email sent to families this afternoon, Head of School Michael Gary announced that Upper School students will not return to in-person learning until February 1st at the earliest.

Pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st grade students will physically return to school on January 12th, and grades 2 through 8 will be phased in on January 19th.

All students will be required to produce a negative PCR test before reentering the school building. Testing will be administered by the school on separate dates for each division.

After producing a negative test, all community members must quarantine until in-person school reopens. The period between school-operated testing and physical reentry will last approximately five days for each division.

Contact tracing devices, provided by the school, must be worn by students and faculty at all times in the school building. More details about the contact tracing program will be given at a later date.

The school will still offer families the option to remain fully virtual if they are not comfortable with returning to the school building. Families are being asked to complete a survey indicating their learning mode preference by Monday, December 22nd.

The administration is in the process of revising a Community Stewardship Statement, which it will reissue to families soon. The statement will ask that families are conscious of their safety and actions for the sake of the greater community.
