Seniors at Friends Select School will have the option to attend in-person school on all four synchronous learning days beginning on March 8th and lasting until Spring Break, said Upper School Director Chris Singler in an email to students on Friday morning. The policy will be considered for extension into April and May after Spring Break.

This decision was made partially because of low senior participation in hybrid learning: Only 25 of 55 members of the class of 2021 returned to in-person school when hybrid learning reopened on February 1st. Of these students, only nine hybrid students attend school on Mondays and Tuesdays, and some of those students frequently stay home.

Students also retain the option to attend in-person classes within their respective gold or brown groups.

Seniors participating in hybrid school should fill out the survey sent in an email by Chris Singler to indicate which days they will be attending in person. Any questions can be directed to [email protected].
