Sea Turtles are extremely important to the world’s oceans because they protect coral reefs, provide transportation for species such as barnacles, and their eggs provide nutrients to beaches. Seven species of Sea turtles can be found all over the world. In the past 200 years, human activities and climate change have endangered these species. The seven species of Sea turtles are at different levels of endangerment due to bycatch, pollution, and debris in the ocean. Climate change has also affected sea turtles. With rising temperatures, it is harder for the turtles to lay their eggs. It is extremely important that humans find a way to help sea turtles, as they are vital to the ocean’s ecosystems.
