This podcast provides a description of my experiences with this year’s Ireland exchange trip. As part of this annual program, Friends Select upper school students first have an opportunity to do hands-on lab work with Irish high school students at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine’s Fitzgerald Lab and Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) during the summer, followed by a trip to Ireland in February to continue their studies. This podcast includes interviews with Sam Leonard, my host; Dr. Craig McEntee, Research Assistant Professor, Biochemistry at Trinity College in Dublin, who was one of the lab directors we worked with; and Daniella Tudor ’28, a Friends Select student who accompanied me on the trip. You will hear about the Irish high school experience, the feel of Dublin as a city, and get a crash course on our work at Trinity.
